Fun to knit with both hands holding yarn. Makes me feel like I have some coordination. This 6-month size hat was knit with US4 needles and Isager merino and alpaca yarn. Pattern is here on Ravelry. 7 stitches x 9 rows per inch.
This is made of the cotton yarn I got at the Fiber Festival last week. I used US6 needles so it's very light and summery. I sent it to my son to give to a friend's baby in New Orleans.
Isager merino and alpaca edging, merino, silk, and cashmere body, back to Isager at top. There is a faint little line of a light green above the edging which gets a bit lost in the seed stitch. US4 needles. 6 stitches x 8 rows per inch
It's 20 degrees cooler today than yesterday! Fall is a definite now. Here are the Japanese anemones in our back yard sprawling all over the chairs and other plants.
Went to the fiber festival in Montpelier. It was warm and sunny. I bought some white baby alpaca and some lemon and lime cotton. Here's some of the alpaca yarn displayed at one of the booths and some of the critters who were supplying the yarn. Wonder why I didn't buy any of this pink?
